Thief River Falls Woman Faces Child Endangerment Charge<\/h2>\n

Thief River Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Thief River Falls woman faces a child endangerment charge following a drug investigation.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Rose Schimek, 26, is charged with gross misdemeanor child endangerment.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege her young child was present in a home where cocaine was being kept.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from a search conducted on August 6, 2026.<\/p>\n

Search Warrant Executed At Residence<\/h2>\n

Drug task force officers executed a search warrant at a Thief River Falls residence.<\/p>\n

The warrant followed an investigation into suspected controlled substance sales, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Schimek was inside the residence with her young son when officers entered.<\/p>\n

The child’s name and age are being withheld.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported finding approximately 92.7 grams of suspected cocaine inside the home.<\/p>\n

She was advised of her rights before speaking with officers, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Schimek reportedly said she had lived at the residence since July 22, 2026.<\/p>\n

She also said her young child had been living there with her.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Schimek acknowledged knowing about cocaine and weapons inside the residence.<\/p>\n

She also allegedly admitted using cocaine the night before the search.<\/p>\n

Gross Misdemeanor Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

The charge alleges Schimek knowingly allowed a child to be present where a controlled substance was possessed.<\/p>\n

The offense carries up to one year in jail.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible fine of up to $3,000.<\/p>\n

The case is filed as Pennington County court file 57-CR-26-569.<\/p>\n
