Salol Man Faces Felony Vehicle Theft Charge<\/h2>\n

Salol<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Salol man faces two charges after an alleged unauthorized vehicle use in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

Isaac David Specht, 26, is charged with felony motor vehicle theft and misdemeanor driving after suspension.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from an incident reported on July 24, 2026.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Specht took a vehicle from a residence without the owners’ permission.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Reported Missing<\/h2>\n

Roseau County law enforcement responded to a residence on County Road 2 that afternoon.<\/p>\n

A resident reported noticing that one of the family’s vehicles was missing.<\/p>\n

He initially thought another family member had driven the vehicle into town.<\/p>\n

However, that family member was still at the residence, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Specht, who had reportedly been staying with the family, was also gone.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the family denied giving Specht permission to use the vehicle.<\/p>\n

One resident told investigators that Specht had previously asked to use it.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say that request had been denied.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement then entered the vehicle into records as stolen.<\/p>\n

Specht Returns With Vehicle<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Specht later returned to the residence with the vehicle on his own.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement arrested him after his return.<\/p>\n

He was also told that he was no longer allowed at the residence.<\/p>\n

Investigators checked Specht’s driving status during the investigation.<\/p>\n

The complaint says his driving privileges were suspended at the time.<\/p>\n

That finding resulted in a second charge for driving after suspension.<\/p>\n

Two Charges Filed In Roseau County<\/h2>\n

The felony vehicle theft count carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible fine of up to $20,000.<\/p>\n

The driving-after-suspension charge carries up to 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n

That misdemeanor also carries a possible fine of up to $1,000.<\/p>\n

The case is filed as Roseau County court file 68-CR-26-437.<\/p>\n
