Crookston Woman Faces 2 Felony Meth Sale Charges<\/h2>\n

Crookston<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A woman from Crookston faces two felony drug-sale charges in Polk County.<\/p>\n

Mindy Lynn Kloos, 36, is charged with two counts of third-degree controlled substance sale.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Kloos sold methamphetamine during two controlled purchases in March 2026.<\/p>\n

The case is filed in Polk County District Court as 60-CR-26-1114.<\/p>\n

First Controlled Buy Alleged March 3<\/h2>\n

The investigation involved a confidential informant working with a regional drug task force.<\/p>\n

On March 3, the informant reportedly told investigators that Kloos was obtaining methamphetamine from Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

The informant transferred $50 to Kloos through Venmo under law enforcement supervision.<\/p>\n

A recorded call was then used to arrange a meeting, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The informant was searched before going to Kloos’s Crookston residence.<\/p>\n

Investigators say no contraband was found before the meeting.<\/p>\n

The informant later returned with a bag containing a white crystal-like substance.<\/p>\n

The substance weighed about 0.6 grams.<\/p>\n

A field test was positive for methamphetamine, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<\/a> later confirmed methamphetamine was present.<\/p>\n

Second Purchase Alleged Next Day<\/h2>\n

Investigators arranged another controlled purchase on March 4.<\/p>\n

The informant was given $200 in recorded currency and equipped with an audio device.<\/p>\n

Kloos allegedly rode with the informant from Crookston to Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

Drug task force members followed the vehicle during the trip.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Kloos entered an apartment and met with an alleged methamphetamine source.<\/p>\n

She then returned to the vehicle and traveled back toward Minnesota.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the drug exchange occurred after they returned to Polk County.<\/p>\n

The informant later gave investigators a bag containing about 3.4 grams of crystal-like material.<\/p>\n

That substance also field-tested positive for methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

State laboratory testing later confirmed methamphetamine, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Two Felony Charges Filed<\/h2>\n

Kloos faces one felony drug sale count for each alleged transaction.<\/p>\n

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Each count also carries a possible fine of up to $250,000.<\/p>\n
