Walker Man Faces 1st-Degree Meth Charge After DNA Match<\/h2>\n

Robert Joseph Seel is charged in Cass County District Court with first-degree sale of methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Search Warrant Executed Near Walker<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement executed a search warrant on January 22, 2026.<\/p>\n

The search happened at a rural home on Onigum Road in Walker.<\/p>\n

Seel lived at the residence and was present when officers arrived, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant during the search.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported finding drug-related items inside Seel’s bedroom.<\/p>\n

Those items allegedly included small bags containing suspected methamphetamine and several digital scales.<\/p>\n

The complaint says methamphetamine residue was found on the scales and inside a gallon-sized plastic bag.<\/p>\n

Officers also reported finding unused small bags inside the bedroom.<\/p>\n

Bag Found Outside Home<\/h2>\n

Investigators found another plastic bag outside the residence near the back door.<\/p>\n

That bag allegedly contained about 14 smaller bags holding suspected methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

The substances field tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the smaller bags appeared packaged for individual resale.<\/p>\n

Another nearby bag was marked “$40” and contained suspected methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the packaging resembled bags found inside Seel’s bedroom.<\/p>\n

Lab Testing And DNA Results<\/h2>\n

The suspected drugs were sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension laboratory in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

The laboratory tested eight of the smaller bags, according to court records.<\/p>\n

All eight tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint alleges.<\/p>\n

Their combined methamphetamine weight was 17.6 grams, with a stated laboratory margin of error.<\/p>\n

Investigators also swabbed the larger plastic bag for DNA.<\/p>\n

The complaint says testing produced a major male DNA profile from the bag’s closing area.<\/p>\n

That profile allegedly matched Robert Joseph Seel through Minnesota’s offender DNA database.<\/p>\n

Charge Filed After Testing<\/h2>\n

Seel was arrested on another warrant on July 24, 2026.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors said the new charge followed completion of the drug and DNA testing.<\/p>\n
