Bemidji Woman Faces Felony Riot Charge After Brawl<\/h2>\n

Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Jorgie Jaylene Boswell faces a felony second-degree riot charge in Beltrami County.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Boswell joined a disturbance involving several people and knew another participant had a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n

The court count lists the alleged offense date as July 12, 2026.<\/p>\n

However, the probable-cause narrative states the incident happened June 12, 2026.<\/p>\n

The complaint does not explain that date difference.<\/p>\n

911 Calls Report Taser and Baseball Bat<\/h2>\n

Authorities received two 911 calls from a Little Norway Avenue residence, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Callers reported an assault involving a Taser and a baseball bat.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived, they found about 12 to 15 people arguing outside.<\/p>\n

No active fight was underway when law enforcement reached the scene.<\/p>\n

Investigators later learned Boswell had returned to collect property from her former boyfriend, identified as J.W.<\/p>\n

J.W. reportedly called 911 asking that Boswell and her sister leave the property.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported seeing scratches, bruising, and a welt on J.W.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges an argument developed over a PlayStation or Xbox game.<\/p>\n

Weapons Allegedly Used During Fight<\/h2>\n

Witnesses told investigators the dispute grew into a physical fight outside the residence.<\/p>\n

The complaint identifies Boswell’s sister as Alayzha Ranae Skinaway.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Skinaway produced a Taser during the confrontation.<\/p>\n

Witnesses alleged the Taser was used against J.W. and another person.<\/p>\n

Curtis Wayne Silcox was also present during the incident, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Silcox allegedly told authorities he removed a baseball bat from another person.<\/p>\n

He said he threw the bat into nearby woods.<\/p>\n

Investigators later recovered a baseball bat and secured the Taser.<\/p>\n

The complaint also describes alleged use of rocks, poles, fists, feet, and a pipe.<\/p>\n

Children and other bystanders were reportedly present during the disturbance.<\/p>\n

Felony Riot Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Boswell is charged with second-degree riot under Minnesota Statute 609.71<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The charge does not allege Boswell personally used the Taser or baseball bat.<\/p>\n

Instead, prosecutors allege she participated while knowing another participant had a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n

The felony carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The case is filed as 04-CR-26-1613 in Beltrami County District Court.<\/p>\n
