Crookston Man Faces Meth Charges Near School<\/h2>\n

Crookston<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Ethan Don Edward Yarbro faces two felony drug charges in Polk County.<\/p>\n

The charges follow a July 20, 2026, search of a Crookston residence.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were connected to Yarbro and the home.<\/p>\n

Three young children were also inside the residence when investigators arrived, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Search Warrant Executed at Crookston Home<\/h2>\n

Police obtained a warrant during an ongoing drug investigation involving Kaylee Rose Boman.<\/p>\n

Boman had been arrested two days earlier in a controlled substance-related DWI investigation.<\/p>\n

She told investigators that methamphetamine paraphernalia was inside her bedroom, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Boman accompanied officers to the residence while the warrant was executed.<\/p>\n

Officers entered and found Yarbro standing in the kitchen.<\/p>\n

Yarbro told police that three children were sleeping inside the home.<\/p>\n

Investigators searched Boman’s bedroom and removed a dresser drawer.<\/p>\n

They allegedly found methamphetamine pipes, baggies, a plate, and another smoking device beneath the dresser.<\/p>\n

A substance on the plate field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Yarbro Allegedly Admits Meth Use<\/h2>\n

Yarbro initially told investigators that he had thrown Boman’s paraphernalia into a nearby dumpster.<\/p>\n

The items were later found inside the bedroom, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Yarbro allegedly said he did not know how the items returned there.<\/p>\n

He also provided a urine sample during the investigation.<\/p>\n

A field test of that sample indicated methamphetamine, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

During a later interview, Yarbro allegedly admitted using methamphetamine at the residence on July 16.<\/p>\n

He said the three children were sleeping inside the home at that time.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Yarbro acknowledged using methamphetamine from a plate inside Boman’s bedroom.<\/p>\n

School-Zone and Child-Related Charges<\/h2>\n

Investigators said the bedroom was near Highland Elementary School in Crookston.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege the location falls within the prohibited school zone described by Minnesota law.<\/p>\n

Count One charges Yarbro with third-degree controlled substance possession in a prohibited zone.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Statute 152.023<\/a> allows up to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

The maximum fine is $250,000.<\/p>\n

Count Two concerns storing methamphetamine paraphernalia where children were present.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Statute 152.137<\/a> makes that offense a felony.<\/p>\n

The charge carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The case is filed as 60-CR-26-1026 in Polk County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges are allegations and do not establish guilt.<\/p>\n

Yarbro is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
