White Earth Fentanyl Case: Man Charged With 60 Grams<\/h2>\n

White Earth<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Kieron Keith Kier faces a first-degree controlled substance charge in Becker County.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from a November 20, 2025, search in White Earth.<\/p>\n

Court records say investigators were examining suspected drug trafficking activity involving Kier during fall 2025.<\/p>\n

Search Warrant Leads to Fentanyl Discovery<\/h2>\n

Investigators said Kier had been seen using a maroon 2008 Chevrolet Suburban.<\/p>\n

A search warrant was later carried out at a White Earth residence linked to Kier.<\/p>\n

Kier’s longtime partner was at the home when investigators arrived.<\/p>\n

A child was also at the residence, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Inside a bedroom, investigators found a safe and an orange digital scale.<\/p>\n

They also found a plastic scoop on a dresser.<\/p>\n

Investigators searched the Suburban parked outside the residence.<\/p>\n

The complaint says two bags containing powder were found inside the vehicle’s center console.<\/p>\n

Field testing indicated the substance was fentanyl, investigators said.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension later tested the evidence.<\/p>\n

A January 2026 laboratory report found about 30 grams of fentanyl in each bag.<\/p>\n

The combined weight was approximately 60 grams, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

DNA Evidence Examined<\/h2>\n

Investigators later examined DNA recovered from the evidence.<\/p>\n

A preliminary report found mixed DNA on the plastic scoop and one fentanyl bag.<\/p>\n

Investigators obtained a DNA sample from Kier in May 2026.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Kier was interviewed after receiving a Miranda warning.<\/p>\n

Kier denied knowing about the fentanyl found in the Suburban.<\/p>\n

He also said his DNA would not be on the drugs, according to court records.<\/p>\n

However, Kier acknowledged using fentanyl and methamphetamine during November, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

He allegedly told investigators he obtained about 20 grams at a time.<\/p>\n

He also allegedly said he sold drugs to support his own drug use.<\/p>\n

A June 4 BCA report compared Kier’s known DNA sample with the earlier evidence.<\/p>\n

The report supported including Kier as a contributor to DNA on the scoop and fentanyl bag.<\/p>\n

First-Degree Drug Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors charged Kier with first-degree controlled substance possession.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law<\/a> covers possession of 25 grams or more of fentanyl mixtures.<\/p>\n

The offense carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.<\/p>\n

A conviction can also bring a fine of up to $1 million.<\/p>\n

Kier’s case is filed in Becker County District Court as 03-CR-26-1312.<\/p>\n

The case was filed by summons.<\/p>\n

The charge is an allegation and does not establish guilt.<\/p>\n

Kier is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
