Bemidji Man Charged in Alleged Fentanyl Sale<\/h2>\n

BEMIDJI<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Bemidji man faces a felony drug sale charge after an arrest in July.<\/p>\n

Robbie James Cournoyer Sr. is charged in Beltrami County District Court with fourth-degree controlled substance sale.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists the case as 04-CR-26-1709.<\/p>\n

The charge was filed after an arrest on July 23, 2026.<\/p>\n

Court records say officers saw Cournoyer riding a bicycle near Park Avenue Northwest and 28th Street Northwest.<\/p>\n

Police learned he had an active arrest warrant.<\/p>\n

Officers then contacted him and took him into custody.<\/p>\n

Suspected Drugs Found During Jail Inventory<\/h2>\n

Cournoyer and his belongings were taken to the Beltrami County Jail.<\/p>\n

A jail inventory led to the discovery of several suspected controlled substances, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Police reported finding suspected fentanyl and suspected methamphetamine in several small containers.<\/p>\n

They also found drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and unused small baggies.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists suspected fentanyl amounts of 1.22 grams, 0.83 grams, and 0.49 grams.<\/p>\n

It also lists suspected methamphetamine amounts of 0.43 grams and 0.16 grams.<\/p>\n

Investigators also reported finding 16.29 grams of an unknown white powder.<\/p>\n

The powder was inside a jar labeled “cut,” according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the scale and packaging also raised concerns about drug sales.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors allege the items supported a fourth-degree controlled substance sale charge.<\/p>\n

The complaint does not state that Cournoyer has been convicted in this case.<\/p>\n

The felony charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 152.024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, a $100,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n
