Belcourt School Mourns Falynn Ferris After Crash<\/h2>\n

Belcourt, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Turtle Mountain Community Schools is mourning the death of Falynn Ferris.<\/p>\n

Ferris died in a car crash early Sunday morning, according to the school district.<\/p>\n

She worked at Turtle Mountain Community Middle School in Belcourt.<\/p>\n

The district described Ferris as a teacher, mentor and coach known across the school community.<\/p>\n

The district’s official staff directory<\/a> also lists Ferris with the middle school.<\/p>\n

District Mourns Sudden Loss<\/h2>\n

Superintendent Shane M. Martin addressed the death in a message to the school community.<\/p>\n

Martin said the sudden loss has deeply affected families, students, and school employees.<\/p>\n

He said many people are struggling to understand what happened so suddenly.<\/p>\n

Children have lost loved ones, while families across the community are grieving.<\/p>\n

The district also offered condolences to other families affected by the crash.<\/p>\n

School officials said other community members were killed or injured.<\/p>\n

Officials did not provide the total number of people involved.<\/p>\n

They also did not release more information about the cause or circumstances of the crash.<\/p>\n

Counseling Available for School Staff<\/h2>\n

Turtle Mountain Community Schools is making counseling services available this week.<\/p>\n

Elementary school counselors will provide extra support at the middle school.<\/p>\n

The high school counseling team has also offered assistance to staff and students.<\/p>\n

District leaders said they will continue reviewing the needs of the school community.<\/p>\n

More support will be provided when needed.<\/p>\n

The district said its focus remains on helping students, employees, and families through the loss.<\/p>\n
