Crookston Family Demands Justice for Teejay Alvarez<\/h2>\n

CROOKSTON (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 Family and friends of Teejay Alvarez marched Wednesday to demand justice following his death.<\/p>\n

Supporters gathered outside the Polk County Courthouse on August 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

They carried signs, photographs, and custom shirts during the \u201cJustice for Teejay Walk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alvarez, 31, was shot inside a Fosston apartment on June 8, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

He died the following day at a Fargo hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI miss him every day,\u201d said Alvarez\u2019s mother, Maria Carrisalez. \u201cI\u2019ve been crying non-stop for my only son.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors Await Final Reports<\/h2>\n

Authorities arrested Cory Burnette Jr. following the shooting. He was later released from custody.<\/p>\n

Supporters said the Crookston walk may not be their final public demonstration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to keep on fighting,\u201d Maria Carrisalez said. \u201cI am not backing down.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family has also organized an online \u201cStand with Teejay\u201d petition.<\/p>\n
