Ogema Teen Charged After 100 MPH Pursuit<\/h2>\n

OGEMA<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 An Ogema teen faces two charges after a July pursuit in Becker County.<\/p>\n

Davon Lee Johnson, 18, is charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n

He also faces a misdemeanor underage drinking and driving charge.<\/p>\n

The charges were filed in Becker County District Court under case number 03-CR-26-1420.<\/p>\n

A judge signed an order of detention on July 17, 2026.<\/p>\n

Pursuit Reached 100 MPH<\/h2>\n

The criminal complaint says the incident began on July 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

An officer saw a vehicle traveling 74 mph in a 55-mph zone.<\/p>\n

The alleged speeding happened north of 340th Street and 250th Avenue.<\/p>\n

The officer activated emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Johnson did not stop.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the vehicle reached speeds of 100 mph.<\/p>\n

The pursuit continued east on Highway 34.<\/p>\n

Johnson allegedly drove around spike strips placed along the route.<\/p>\n

An officer later used a pursuit intervention maneuver to stop the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The full pursuit covered about three miles, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Breath Test Reported 0.07<\/h2>\n

Johnson was arrested after the vehicle stopped.<\/p>\n

Officers reported finding an open alcohol container inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says officers noticed an alcohol odor coming from Johnson.<\/p>\n

He later completed a breath test at the jail.<\/p>\n

Court records list the reported alcohol concentration as 0.07.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law<\/a> bars drivers under 21 from driving after consuming alcohol.<\/p>\n

The underage drinking and driving charge is a misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

It carries a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n

The charge also carries a possible $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The felony fleeing charge carries a longer possible sentence.<\/p>\n

That count carries up to three years and one day in prison.<\/p>\n
