Bemidji Man Faces 3 Online Child Sex Charges<\/h2>\n

Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Bemidji man faces three felony charges involving alleged electronic contact with a juvenile.<\/p>\n

Elliot James Robinson, 25, is charged in Beltrami County District Court. The case number is 04-CR-26-1561.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists three alleged violations of Minnesota Statute 609.352<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Each also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Three Felony Counts Filed<\/h2>\n

The first count alleges Robinson solicited a child through electronic communication for sexual conduct.<\/p>\n

The second count alleges he sent electronic messages relating to or describing sexual conduct.<\/p>\n

The third count alleges he sent material or images describing sexual conduct to a child.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors listed the alleged offense period as March 3, 2022, through March 2, 2025.<\/p>\n

Complaint Describes July Investigation<\/h2>\n

The investigation began early July 7, 2026, after police responded to a reported dispute in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

Officers found a 17-year-old girl inside a vehicle with an adult female relative.<\/p>\n

The teenager told police she felt unsafe around Robinson, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The adult relative later told officers she had seen troubling messages and images on the teenager\u2019s phone.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the teenager showed officers an explicit image allegedly sent by Robinson.<\/p>\n

She also alleged Robinson requested sexual images from her and sent sexual messages while she was underage.<\/p>\n

Investigators later arrested Robinson at his residence.<\/p>\n

Defendant Allegedly Admitted Sending Image<\/h2>\n

During a recorded interview, Robinson allegedly admitted sending an explicit image several years earlier.<\/p>\n

He reportedly said he sent it through Snapchat while he was in his early twenties.<\/p>\n

Investigators believed the girl was about 13 or 14 when the image was sent.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says officers compared a visible hand tattoo with Robinson\u2019s tattoo.<\/p>\n

Robinson remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
