LANSING TWP, Mower County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Jeep left Highway 218 and went off the road Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash at 2:51 p.m. on December 18, 2025.<\/p>\n

Troopers listed the location as southbound Highway 218 near milepost 16 in Lansing Township.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were reported as snow and ice.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/h2>\n

Troopers said a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling south on Highway 218.<\/p>\n

The report says the Jeep left the roadway near milepost 16.<\/p>\n

The crash report lists one vehicle involved.<\/p>\n

The report did not say what caused the vehicle to leave the road.<\/p>\n

The driver was Daniel Dean Sparks, 57, of Austin.<\/p>\n

Troopers reported non-life-threatening injuries for Sparks.<\/p>\n

Sparks was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The report lists the Jeep\u2019s airbag as deployed.<\/p>\n

The report lists Sparks as wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was listed as not involved.<\/p>\n

The Austin Fire Department<\/a> assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
