Fergus Falls Man Faces Child Solicitation, Drug Charges<\/h2>\n

Fergus Falls (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Fergus Falls man faces felony charges following an online decoy report.<\/p>\n

The report led police to his home on West Lincoln Avenue.<\/p>\n

Braxton Monte Anderson, 41, is charged with three counts of electronic solicitation of a child.<\/p>\n

He also faces several drug-related allegations.<\/p>\n

Messages Reported to Police<\/h2>\n

Police responded shortly before 9:30 a.m. on July 24.<\/p>\n

The call involved a residence in the 100 block of West Lincoln Avenue.<\/p>\n

A citizen group told police it uses online profiles that appear to belong to minors.<\/p>\n

The group reported messages involving Anderson.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Anderson believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl.<\/p>\n

The account was operated by a decoy.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Anderson sent sexually explicit messages and images.<\/p>\n

It also says he discussed meeting the person.<\/p>\n

Documents say the conversation began through a dating application.<\/p>\n

Anderson allegedly continued after being told the person was 14.<\/p>\n

The citizen group later confronted Anderson outside his residence.<\/p>\n

A group member then contacted police.<\/p>\n

Police reviewed the messages and interviewed Anderson.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Anderson admitted believing the person was 14.<\/p>\n

The documents also say he acknowledged the messages were sexual.<\/p>\n

Search Finds Suspected Methamphetamine<\/h2>\n

Investigators later searched Anderson\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n

They seized electronic devices, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The suspected methamphetamine weighed about 7.5 grams.<\/p>\n

Two children younger than 15 were reportedly inside the home.<\/p>\n

The residence was near a city park and the Fergus Falls Riverfront Splash Pad<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anderson faces an allegation involving methamphetamine possession in a park zone.<\/p>\n

Another allegation involves paraphernalia stored in a home with children.<\/p>\n
