The reports included child safety concerns, a vehicle fire, storm damage, and a building crash.<\/p>\n<h2>Child Safety Calls Prompt Response<\/h2>\n<p>A Red Lake Falls resident reported an unsupervised young child in a yard on July 17. A deputy found the child and located the parents. The family was reunited, and the parents received guidance.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies answered a disturbance call at a Garnes Township home on July 18. Investigators found no evidence that a crime occurred. The involved people received guidance. One person agreed to leave the home for the day.<\/p>\n<p>Two small children wandered from a Red Lake Falls home on July 19. Their parent found them before a deputy arrived. One child reached another home without supervision the next morning.<\/p>\n<p>A deputy returned the child and discussed safety steps with the parent. The case was referred to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.co.red-lake.mn.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red Lake County Social Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Crash, Storm Damage and Vehicle Fire<\/h2>\n<p>A vehicle struck the Dollar General building in Red Lake Falls on July 20. The sheriff\u2019s office released no details about injuries or building damage.<\/p>\n<p>Later that day, a tree fell onto a powerline in Terrebonne Township. The caller reported that the line was smoking. A deputy secured the area. <a href=\"https:\/\/redlakeelectric.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red Lake Electric Cooperative<\/a> crews were contacted. No injuries or property damage were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies also mediated a harassment complaint in Red Lake Falls on July 21. The involved people received advice. The matter ended without a reported arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire north of Red Lake Falls on July 22. The fire happened along Minnesota Highway 32. The vehicle was destroyed, but the occupant escaped without injury.<\/p>\n<p>Red Lake Falls firefighters, St. Hilaire firefighters, ambulance crews, and deputies assisted. The <a href=\"https:\/\/dps.mn.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota State Patrol<\/a> also responded. The burned vehicle was later towed away.<\/p>\n<h2>Injured Juvenile Taken to Hospital<\/h2>\n<p>A deputy found a loose cow near County Road 1 west of Plummer on July 23. The deputy helped the owner return the animal to its enclosure.<\/p>\n<p>Later, emergency crews treated a juvenile who fell from a scooter in Red Lake Falls. The child suffered a serious leg injury. An ambulance transported the child to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanfordhealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sanford Health<\/a> emergency department in Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n<p>That evening, a disabled vehicle was removed from Highway 92 east of Brooks. It had remained there for more than 24 hours.
