Cass Lake Man Charged With Felony Domestic Assault<\/h2>\n

Cass County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Cass Lake man is facing a felony domestic assault charge following a reported family dispute in July.<\/p>\n

Thomas Joseph Goodshield Jr., born April 9, 1996, has been charged in Cass County District Court with felony domestic assault.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from an alleged incident on July 12, 2026, in Cass Lake. Court documents state the incident involved a family member.<\/p>\n

Alleged Assault Reported in Cass Lake<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement responded to a disturbance call around 1:16 a.m.<\/p>\n

The reported incident happened at a residence on John Moose Drive in Cass Lake.<\/p>\n

When authorities arrived, the alleged victim was outside the residence. She reported that Goodshield had struck her in the face.<\/p>\n

The complaint states she also reported that her phone was damaged during the incident.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the two individuals had been arguing before the alleged assault occurred.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges Goodshield continued following the victim during the dispute. It states the confrontation moved from inside the home to outside.<\/p>\n
