Detroit Lakes Man Faces Two Driving Charges<\/h2>\n

DETROIT LAKES<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Detroit Lakes man faces two charges following a June traffic stop in Becker County.<\/p>\n

Brian Keith Krueger, 55, is charged in Becker County District Court. The complaint lists one gross misdemeanor and one misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

The charges are allegations. Krueger is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop On Highway 34<\/h2>\n

The complaint says a deputy was traveling on State Highway 34 on June 11, 2026.<\/p>\n

The deputy reportedly noticed a vehicle with a passenger-side headlight that was not working.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was also recognized from earlier contacts, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

A traffic stop was then conducted. The deputy reportedly found that the vehicle registration had expired.<\/p>\n

Krueger was identified as the driver. He provided a driver\u2019s license during the stop.<\/p>\n

However, the complaint says he could not provide proof of vehicle insurance.<\/p>\n

License Reportedly Revoked<\/h2>\n

A records check reportedly showed that Krueger\u2019s driving privileges were revoked.<\/p>\n

He is charged with driving after revocation under Minnesota law.<\/p>\n

The misdemeanor charge carries a possible sentence of 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $1,000 fine. A judge could impose both penalties.<\/p>\n

Insurance Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Krueger also faces a gross misdemeanor charge for failing to carry proof of insurance.<\/p>\n

The complaint identifies those cases as Becker County files 03-CR-23-1865 and 03-CR-23-214.<\/p>\n

The gross misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible fine of up to $3,000.<\/p>\n

The new case was filed under Becker County court file 03-CR-26-1292.<\/p>\n
