Callaway Man Charged After Meth Found in Car<\/h2>\n

CALLAWAY, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Callaway man faces a felony drug charge after a traffic stop in Becker County.<\/p>\n

Johnathan Daniel Moore, 44, is charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n

The charge was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Seventh Judicial District Court. The case number is 03-CR-26-1246.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint alleges Moore possessed methamphetamine on June 23, 2026.<\/p>\n

The charge is an allegation. Moore is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Leads To Search<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, an officer saw Moore driving in Callaway on June 23.<\/p>\n

The officer reportedly knew Moore\u2019s driver\u2019s license was revoked.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Moore also failed to fully stop at a stop sign.<\/p>\n

The officer then attempted to conduct a traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Moore allegedly continued driving for about one-half mile before stopping at his home.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the officer saw Moore moving near the vehicle\u2019s center console.<\/p>\n

After the stop, the officer reported that Moore had red and bloodshot eyes.<\/p>\n

The officer also described Moore\u2019s speech as unclear.<\/p>\n

Suspected Methamphetamine Found<\/h2>\n

Moore was detained during the investigation, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

He allegedly showed officers the contents of his pockets.<\/p>\n

Those items included two metal pipes and a piece of burned tinfoil.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Moore declined to complete field sobriety tests.<\/p>\n

An officer later searched the vehicle and examined the center console.<\/p>\n

Inside, the officer reportedly found a glove containing a small plastic bag.<\/p>\n

The bag held a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Authorities seized the substance and reported a weight of 0.79 grams.<\/p>\n

The complaint does not state whether laboratory testing was completed before the charge was filed.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Fifth-degree controlled substance possession is a felony under Minnesota Statute 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The offense carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.<\/p>\n

It may also carry a fine of up to $10,000.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a prior fourth-degree controlled substance conviction from 2019.<\/p>\n
