Crookston Woman Faces Drug and Ammo Charges<\/h2>\n

CROOKSTON<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Crookston woman faces four charges following a July traffic stop near a city park.<\/p>\n

Deborah Deanne Robinson, 48, is charged in Polk County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges include two felonies and two misdemeanor driving offenses.<\/p>\n

Robinson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Near Crookston Park<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, Robinson was driving a Chevrolet Silverado on July 1, 2026.<\/p>\n

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper stopped the truck on South Minnesota Street.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a rear camera blocked part of the license plate.<\/p>\n

The truck also allegedly had a brake light that was not working.<\/p>\n

The vehicle traveled near Wildflower Garden Park before the stop.<\/p>\n

Robinson reportedly told authorities she had borrowed the truck while moving to Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n

The trooper reported seeing possible signs of drug use during the stop.<\/p>\n

Robinson allegedly said she had recently used cannabis and several prescription medications.<\/p>\n

She was arrested after completing field sobriety tests.<\/p>\n

Residue and Ammunition Allegedly Found<\/h2>\n

Authorities searched the truck after Robinson\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n

The complaint says they found a pen containing white residue inside Robinson\u2019s purse.<\/p>\n

They also found a rolled dollar bill with white residue.<\/p>\n

A field test reportedly showed the residue contained methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Investigators also reported finding two rounds of ammunition inside the truck.<\/p>\n

The ammunition included a .223-caliber round and a .22-250-caliber round.<\/p>\n

Robinson denied owning the ammunition, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

She reportedly acknowledged that a prior felony conviction barred her from possessing ammunition.<\/p>\n

Home Search Leads to Additional Evidence<\/h2>\n

Robinson later agreed to searches of her Crookston residence and cellphone.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported finding a plastic tray near the kitchen sink.<\/p>\n

The tray allegedly contained a white crystal-like substance.<\/p>\n

The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Robinson is charged with third-degree controlled substance possession in a prohibited zone.<\/p>\n

That felony carries a maximum sentence of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.<\/p>\n

She also faces a felony charge for possessing ammunition after a qualifying conviction.<\/p>\n

That offense carries between five and 15 years in prison.<\/p>\n

The two fourth-degree DWI charges each carry up to 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n
