They were reportedly written between December 24, 2025, and January 2, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Chasing Bear is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<h2>Checks Reported at Two Frazee Businesses<\/h2>\n<p>According to the complaint, six checks were issued at the All N All gas station in Frazee.<\/p>\n<p>The checks allegedly paid for fuel and other store items. Their reported amounts ranged from $39 to $97.92.<\/p>\n<p>The six checks totaled $423.14, based on figures listed in the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators received paperwork stating the checks came from a closed bank account.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says surveillance images showed Chasing Bear writing checks at the store\u2019s cash register.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Replace the URL below with the uploaded mugshot URL --><\/p>\n<h2>Three More Checks Alleged<\/h2>\n<p>Frazee Family Foods later reported three additional checks from the same closed account.<\/p>\n<p>Those checks were reportedly written on December 24 and December 29.<\/p>\n<p>The amounts were $150.49, $17.58, and $62.42. Together, they totaled $230.49.<\/p>\n<p>The two businesses sent written payment demands to Chasing Bear\u2019s listed address.<\/p>\n<p>All N All sent its demand in February. Frazee Family Foods sent its demand in March.<\/p>\n<h2>Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n<p>Prosecutors allege Chasing Bear intended for the checks not to be paid.<\/p>\n<p>The case was filed under Minnesota\u2019s law covering the issuance of dishonored checks.<\/p>\n<p>Under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/609.535\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Statute 609.535<\/a>, checks worth more than $500 may bring felony penalties.<\/p>\n<p>A conviction may carry up to five years in prison.
