Ivan Lawrence Shipman, 64, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n

The charge was filed on Wednesday in Clay County District Court.<\/p>\n

The case involves two pest control workers, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Call reported at south Moorhead complex<\/h2>\n

The complaint says police were called to an apartment complex on 20th Street South.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists the call time as about 2:29 p.m.<\/p>\n

The workers told police they were there to spray for bugs.<\/p>\n

They said they met Shipman at his apartment door.<\/p>\n

Workers describe a tense hallway encounter<\/h2>\n

Officers later spoke with Shipman at his apartment, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

Police said Shipman made statements about being close to breaking the law.<\/p>\n
