Holmes is also charged with three counts of child endangerment, driving after revocation, speeding, and open container in a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>All charges are allegations. Holmes is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HolmesKayleigh.jpg\" alt=\"Kayleigh Holmes mugshot\" \/>Kayleigh Allyson Danielle Holmes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Traffic Stop Leads to Investigation<\/h2>\n<p>The complaint states that a vehicle was stopped after it was allegedly traveling 70 miles per hour in a 60-mile-per-hour zone on U.S. Highway 59.<\/p>\n<p>During the stop, authorities identified Holmes as the driver. The complaint says three children were inside the vehicle, including an infant.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities reported signs of possible alcohol use. The complaint states Holmes had watery eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>Holmes allegedly told authorities she had consumed alcoholic drinks described as Twisted Teas.<\/p>\n<h2>Alcohol Found Inside Vehicle<\/h2>\n<p>The complaint states that authorities found an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Several empty cans were also allegedly located.<\/p>\n<p>The documents state the alcohol was found near the children\u2019s area of the vehicle. The complaint alleges the children were placed at risk because of the circumstances.<\/p>\n<h2>Testing and License Status<\/h2>\n<p>The complaint states Holmes completed field sobriety testing. It alleges she showed signs of impairment during the tests.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary breath test reportedly showed a result of .107. A later chemical test reportedly showed a result of .10.<\/p>\n<p>Court records state Holmes had a prior DWI conviction within the previous 10 years. Records also indicate her driver\u2019s license was revoked at the time of the stop.<\/p>\n<h2>Court Proceedings<\/h2>\n<p>The case was filed in Pennington County District Court.
