Detroit Lakes Man Charged Over Ignition Interlock Violation<\/h2>\n

Becker County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Detroit Lakes man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after authorities say he drove a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.<\/p>\n

Nathan James Brock, born October 13, 2005, of Detroit Lakes, is charged in Becker County District Court with violating Minnesota driving restrictions.<\/p>\n

The charge alleges Brock operated a motor vehicle without a functioning ignition interlock device. The device was required under his restricted driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Leads To Charge<\/h2>\n

Court documents state the incident happened on May 29, 2026, in Becker County.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint, a vehicle was observed traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 59.<\/p>\n

The vehicle appeared to be traveling faster than the posted 60 mph speed limit.<\/p>\n

A traffic stop was conducted after radar showed the vehicle traveling 72 mph.<\/p>\n

During the stop, the driver was identified as Nathan James Brock.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Brock told authorities his driver\u2019s license was revoked.<\/p>\n

Brock also allegedly admitted he did not have the required ignition interlock device installed.<\/p>\n

Records checks reportedly confirmed Brock\u2019s license status was revoked.<\/p>\n

The records also showed he was required to have an ignition interlock device before driving.<\/p>\n
