Lengby Man Charged After Mahnomen Traffic Stop<\/h2>\n

Mahnomen County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Lengby man faces a gross misdemeanor charge following a June traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Aaron Cody Clark, 38, was charged in Mahnomen County District Court.<\/p>\n

The complaint charges Clark with driving after license cancellation as inimical to public safety.<\/p>\n

The alleged offense occurred on June 8, 2026, in Mahnomen County.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint contains allegations. Clark is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Reportedly Clocked Above Speed Limit<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a deputy was traveling east on 240th Street.<\/p>\n

The deputy saw a tan Chevrolet Tahoe traveling west on the same road.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was described as an early 2000s model with White Earth veteran registration.<\/p>\n

Radar allegedly showed the Tahoe traveling about 43 mph.<\/p>\n

The posted speed limit was 35 mph, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The deputy reportedly recognized Clark as the driver when the vehicles passed.<\/p>\n

Court documents state the deputy knew Clark was associated with the Tahoe.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Leads to Charge<\/h2>\n

The deputy turned around and activated the patrol vehicle\u2019s emergency lights.<\/p>\n

The Tahoe then pulled over and stopped, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The deputy approached and allegedly found Clark sitting in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n

Authorities claim Clark\u2019s driving status was canceled as inimical to public safety.<\/p>\n

They also allege Clark knew, or should have known, about the cancellation.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Statute 171.24<\/a> covers driving after suspension, revocation, or cancellation.<\/p>\n

Subdivision 5 classifies certain violations as gross misdemeanors.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a maximum possible sentence of 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n

It also lists a possible fine of up to $3,000.<\/p>\n

Those penalties are maximum limits and do not represent a sentence.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District.<\/p>\n
