Blackduck Man Charged After Children Found in Car<\/h2>\n

BLACKDUCK, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Blackduck man faces several charges involving drugs and child safety.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Louis Beaulieu, 32, was charged in Beltrami County District Court. The case was filed under court number 04-CR-26-1408.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu faces three felony counts and one gross misdemeanor count. The charges remain allegations unless proven in court.<\/p>\n

Reckless Driving Report Leads to Investigation<\/h2>\n

The case began during the afternoon of June 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

A caller reported a Ford Freestyle driving across the road. The vehicle allegedly nearly struck another vehicle.<\/p>\n

A deputy found the Ford parked at a residence in Beltrami County. Two toddler-aged children were seated in the back.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu was sitting in the front passenger seat, according to the complaint. The deputy allegedly saw him using an impairing substance.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a syringe containing a dark substance was also visible inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Drugs and Paraphernalia Allegedly Found<\/h2>\n

A search of the Ford reportedly uncovered a loaded syringe and several small bags.<\/p>\n

Investigators also reported finding burnt foil, plastic tubes, cotton swabs, lighters, Narcan, and other drug items.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists suspected fentanyl and a crystal substance weighing 4.33 grams.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu allegedly told investigators the syringe held a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl.<\/p>\n

Samples were sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<\/a> for testing.<\/p>\n

Four Charges Filed<\/h2>\n

Beaulieu is charged with exposing a child to methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

He also faces a felony charge involving fentanyl, methamphetamine, children, and vulnerable adults.<\/p>\n

A third felony charge alleges fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

The final charge alleges child endangerment involving the presence of controlled substances.<\/p>\n

Each felony carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Each also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The gross misdemeanor carries up to 364 days in jail. It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n
