Walker Man Charged in Occupied Home Burglary<\/h2>\n

Walker (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Walker man faces a felony charge after an alleged burglary at an occupied home.<\/p>\n

Michael Harlys Morrison-Reese, 35, has been charged with first-degree burglary in Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge involves an occupied dwelling with a person present inside.<\/p>\n

The alleged incident happened during the afternoon of February 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

Resident Reports Unauthorized Entry<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement responded to an Onigum Road home at about 1:31 p.m.<\/p>\n

A woman reported that her son was home alone when Morrison-Reese arrived.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Morrison-Reese had recently been told to leave the residence.<\/p>\n

He allegedly entered the home and removed several items from a room.<\/p>\n

Some items reportedly belonged to Morrison-Reese. Other property allegedly belonged to the woman.<\/p>\n

Two Bose car speakers were among the items reported missing.<\/p>\n

Security Video Reviewed<\/h2>\n

The woman showed investigators security video recorded inside the home.<\/p>\n

The footage allegedly showed Morrison-Reese entering and arguing with the woman\u2019s son.<\/p>\n

He was later seen leaving a room while carrying several items, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The two men then had another confrontation inside the home.<\/p>\n

The resident can reportedly be heard telling Morrison-Reese to leave several times.<\/p>\n

Investigators contacted Morrison-Reese by telephone later that afternoon.<\/p>\n

He claimed the resident allowed him inside the home.<\/p>\n

He also claimed the resident threatened him with a firearm.<\/p>\n

However, investigators reported seeing no firearm during their review of the security footage.<\/p>\n

Charge Carries Possible Prison Sentence<\/h2>\n

Morrison-Reese is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.582<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A first-degree burglary conviction can carry up to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

The offense may also carry a fine of up to $35,000.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District under court file 11-CR-26-611.<\/p>\n

The charge is an allegation. Morrison-Reese is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
