Roseau Man Injured in Highway 9 Rollover<\/h2>\n

Roseau County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Roseau man was injured Monday afternoon after his vehicle rolled on a rural highway.<\/p>\n

The crash happened on Roseau County State Aid Highway 9.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol<\/a> identified the driver as Mitchel John Roggenbuck, 70, of Roseau.<\/p>\n

Roggenbuck suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews transported him to LifeCare Medical Center<\/a> in Roseau for treatment.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Crossed Centerline<\/h2>\n

Roggenbuck was driving a 2025 Buick Encore northbound before the crash.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol said the vehicle crossed the centerline for an unknown reason.<\/p>\n

The Buick then vaulted over a road approach and entered the west ditch.<\/p>\n

The vehicle rolled after leaving the roadway.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported that Roggenbuck was not wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected as a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Responded<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol received the crash report at about 2:16 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n

Several local emergency agencies responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

The Roseau County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted with traffic control and scene safety.<\/p>\n

The Roseau Fire Department and local emergency medical crews also responded.<\/p>\n

No other vehicles were listed as involved in the crash.<\/p>\n

No additional injuries were reported in the initial State Patrol report.<\/p>\n

The crash remains under review by the Minnesota State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Officials have not released more details about why the vehicle crossed the centerline.<\/p>\n

Seat Belt Safety<\/h2>\n

Minnesota law requires drivers and passengers to wear seat belts in most vehicles.<\/p>\n

Safety officials say seat belts can reduce serious injuries during rollover crashes.<\/p>\n
