Warroad Man Charged After Alleged Death Threats<\/h2>\n

WARROAD, Minn. \u2014 (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A Warroad man faces two felony charges after an alleged domestic incident in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

Tyler John Petersburg, 37, is charged with threats of violence and felony domestic assault.<\/p>\n

The charges were filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District Court. The case is filed under court number 68-CR-26-359.<\/p>\n

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Each also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Woman Reports Threats During Drive<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, the reported incident happened on June 24, 2026.<\/p>\n

Allannah Marie Meyers told authorities she gave Petersburg a ride to the Warroad Police Department.<\/p>\n

She said Petersburg expected to be taken to the Roseau County Sheriff\u2019s Office instead.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges Petersburg became angry after arriving at the Warroad police station.<\/p>\n

Meyers reported that he began yelling and threatened to kill her.<\/p>\n

She said the threats continued while they drove north of Warroad.<\/p>\n

The complaint states Petersburg struck the vehicle\u2019s dashboard during the argument.<\/p>\n

Meyers told investigators that Petersburg threatened to take her to a public boat launch and shoot her.<\/p>\n

She said she feared for her safety and wanted charges filed.<\/p>\n

Defendant Denies Allegations<\/h2>\n

Authorities later spoke with Petersburg at the Roseau County detention center.<\/p>\n

Petersburg denied making threats, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

A family member who was present said he did not hear any threats.<\/p>\n

The complaint states Petersburg was later arrested in the detention center lobby.<\/p>\n

He was booked into the Roseau County Jail on the two felony allegations.<\/p>\n

Prior Convictions Cited<\/h2>\n

The felony domestic assault charge cites two prior domestic violence-related convictions.<\/p>\n

One conviction was entered in Roseau County in July 2022.<\/p>\n

The second was entered in Lake of the Woods County in May 2025.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law allows enhanced charges when qualifying prior convictions exist.<\/p>\n
