Cass Lake Woman Charged in Fentanyl Case<\/h2>\n

CASS LAKE, Minn. \u2014 (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A Cass Lake woman faces a felony drug charge after an arrest on an outstanding warrant.<\/p>\n

Taleigha Marie Drumbeater has been charged with fifth-degree controlled substance possession in Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n

The criminal complaint alleges Drumbeater possessed two mixtures containing fentanyl on June 13, 2026.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District under court file number 11-CR-26-844.<\/p>\n

Arrest Outside Cass Lake Store<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a Leech Lake Tribal Police officer was patrolling Cass Lake that day.<\/p>\n

The officer reportedly saw Drumbeater leave a Shell convenience store.<\/p>\n

Police knew she had an active Cass County warrant, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The officer approached Drumbeater and arrested her on that warrant.<\/p>\n

Drumbeater was carrying a brown purse and a bag from the store, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Investigators also reported finding a tan and orange box inside the purse.<\/p>\n

The name \u201cTaleigha\u201d was written on the side of the box, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Inside, police allegedly found a foil packet holding a teal powder.<\/p>\n

A paper packet reportedly contained a second white powder.<\/p>\n

Both substances tested positive for fentanyl during preliminary testing, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The teal substance weighed 0.17 grams.<\/p>\n

The white substance weighed 0.51 grams.<\/p>\n

The substances had a combined reported weight of 0.68 grams.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors charged Drumbeater under Minnesota Statute 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists the offense as a felony.<\/p>\n

A conviction could bring up to five years in prison or a $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n
