Moorhead Man Arrested in Major Drug Seizure<\/h2>\n

MOORHEAD, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 Police intercepted a suspected drug shipment headed toward the Fargo-Moorhead area earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Investigators seized three pounds of suspected methamphetamine during the operation. They also arrested a 45-year-old Moorhead man.<\/p>\n

Jason Fliflet was taken to the Clay County Jail following the July 8 traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Stopped Near Barnesville<\/h2>\n

Detectives received information about suspected drug shipments before July 8.<\/p>\n

The drugs were reportedly being transported from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The shipment was believed to be headed toward Fargo-Moorhead.<\/p>\n

Investigators located the suspected vehicle near Barnesville on July 8.<\/p>\n

The Moorhead Police Department worked with the Cass County Drug Task Force. The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office also assisted.<\/p>\n

Authorities stopped the vehicle and conducted a search.<\/p>\n

The search uncovered suspected methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and a large amount of cash.<\/p>\n

More Drugs Found During Home Search<\/h2>\n

Detectives later obtained a warrant to search Fliflet\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n

Police reported finding more suspected methamphetamine and mushrooms inside the home.<\/p>\n

Investigators also seized controlled prescription medications that were allegedly possessed without legal authority.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported seizing three pounds of suspected methamphetamine. Police estimated its street value at about $20,000.<\/p>\n

Investigators also seized 73 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms. Those drugs were valued at about $3,400.<\/p>\n

The seizure included 56 Schedule II prescription pills and $2,163 in cash.<\/p>\n

Authorities also seized a 2021 Jeep Cherokee during the investigation.<\/p>\n

Charges Remain Pending<\/h2>\n

Fliflet was arrested on suspicion of several serious drug offenses.<\/p>\n

They include first-degree methamphetamine sale and possession allegations.<\/p>\n

He also faces suspected mushroom possession and controlled substance violations.<\/p>\n

Formal charges had not been filed when authorities announced the arrest.<\/p>\n

All allegations remain unproven unless established in court.<\/p>\n
