The second alleges possession after a prior drug conviction.

Callais also faces a gross misdemeanor charge for allegedly refusing chemical testing while impaired.

Jane Marie Drury, 69, of Thief River Falls, faces a fifth-degree controlled substance charge.

Traffic Stop Leads to Search

The case began near Highway 32 and Sanford Parkway, according to the criminal complaint.

Police reported seeing signs of impairment during the stop. Callais allegedly failed field sobriety testing.

He first agreed to provide a blood sample. He later withdrew consent and allegedly refused blood or urine testing.

Investigators searched the vehicle on July 6 after obtaining a warrant.

They allegedly found several bags containing crystal-like substances inside a duffel bag.

Presumptive tests indicated methamphetamine, according to the complaint.

The bags reportedly weighed about 120.3 grams in their original packaging.

Investigators also reported finding a scale, empty plastic bags, and clothing linked to Callais.

Second Arrest Follows

Callais allegedly told investigators he visited Drury’s home before his arrest.

Drury was on supervised probation, and officers later assisted with a probation visit.

Drury allegedly said she expected to test positive for methamphetamine.

A search of her purse allegedly found suspected meth, unused bags, and cut straws.

A probation search of the home found more suspected meth and drug paraphernalia, the complaint states.

Reported bags weighed 6.7, 0.8, and 0.6 grams. Two others weighed 0.3 and 0.2 grams.

Drury declined to speak with investigators after arriving at the Pennington County Jail.

Cases Remain Pending

An earlier DWI test-refusal complaint was dismissed. Prosecutors later filed the current complaint with additional charges.

The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.

Both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Readers can review public court information through the Minnesota Judicial Branch.

General drug information is available through the DEA methamphetamine fact sheet.

I’m Adrian Cole, reporting for TRF News.

Copyright 2026 TRF News.
