Cass Lake Woman Charged After False Name Claim<\/h2>\n

CASS LAKE<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Remer woman faces two charges after a late-night bicycle stop.<\/p>\n

Angel Renee Littlewolf, 27, is charged in Cass County District Court. The case was filed under court number 11-CR-26-703.<\/p>\n

The first count alleges she gave an officer another person\u2019s name during a lawful stop. That charge is a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

The second count alleges unlawful possession of gabapentin without a prescription. That charge is listed as a misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

All charges are allegations. Littlewolf is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

Bicycle Stop Led to Identity Questions<\/h2>\n

The complaint says a deputy saw a woman riding a bicycle shortly after midnight on May 21, 2026.<\/p>\n

The bicycle had no light while traveling along Grant Utley Avenue Southwest. A deputy stopped the rider in the 600 block.<\/p>\n

Investigators allege Littlewolf first gave another woman\u2019s name and birth date. She then changed parts of the date several times.<\/p>\n

The complaint says she also gave different answers about her age. Deputies continued asking questions about her identity.<\/p>\n

She later claimed to be another person, according to the complaint. Deputies arrested her after her statements remained inconsistent.<\/p>\n

Identification and Pills Found<\/h2>\n

During a search, deputies found identification showing Littlewolf\u2019s name and birth date. A records check showed two active felony warrants.<\/p>\n

The warrants were listed from Crow Wing and Itasca counties. The complaint does not describe the underlying warrant cases.<\/p>\n

At the jail, staff searched Littlewolf\u2019s clothing. They found a bag containing 19 white, oval pills in a hidden sweatshirt pocket.<\/p>\n

The pills had a \u201cT1\u201d imprint and were identified as gabapentin. The complaint says Littlewolf showed no prescription for the medication.<\/p>\n

Gabapentin is a prescription drug regulated under Minnesota Statute 151.37<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The false-name charge falls under Minnesota Statute 609.506<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Possible Penalties<\/h2>\n

The gross misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail. It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The drug count carries up to 90 days in jail. It also carries a possible $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n

A future hearing will determine the next steps in the case. No conviction has been entered on either charge.<\/p>\n
