The court file number is 44-CR-25-924.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint includes two gross misdemeanor charges. They allege impaired driving and refusal to take a breath test.<\/p>\n<p>Four misdemeanor charges also were filed. They involve insurance, an open bottle, a revoked license, and firearm transport.<\/p>\n<h2>Highway 59 Driving Complaint<\/h2>\n<p>A caller reported a green Suburban driving north near the Mahnomen airport. The caller said the vehicle crossed roadway lines several times.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says the vehicle nearly struck another vehicle. It later turned into a residence along Highway 59.<\/p>\n<p>An officer contacted Lague after stopping behind the vehicle. An 8-year-old child was also inside, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>The officer reported smelling alcohol and seeing bloodshot, watery eyes. Lague allegedly said he had consumed beer earlier that day.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Lague declined a preliminary breath test. He also reported injuries that affected his walking ability.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center; margin: 24px auto;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"display: block; width: 210px; max-width: 500px; height: 280px; margin: 0px auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/LAGUE-ANTHONY-RAY-JR.jpg\" alt=\"Anthony Ray Lague Jr. booking photo\" \/><figcaption style=\"margin-top: 8px;\">Booking photo of Anthony Ray Lague Jr.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Open Bottle and Rifle Alleged<\/h2>\n<p>Police arrested Lague and searched the vehicle. The search allegedly found an open bottle of Fireball Whisky.<\/p>\n<p>Officers also reported finding a .204-caliber Savage rifle in a soft case. The complaint says a live round was chambered.<\/p>\n<p>Three additional rounds were reportedly inside the rifle. Lague allegedly said the gun belonged to him.<\/p>\n<p>He also said he did not know the rifle was loaded. Police took him to the Mahnomen County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Lague received Minnesota\u2019s breath-test advisory. He was given access to a telephone and legal directories.<\/p>\n<p>Lague later declined the requested breath test, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<h2>Six Charges Filed<\/h2>\n<p>Prosecutors cited two alleged aggravating factors for the DWI count. They include a prior impaired-driving incident and a child passenger.<\/p>\n<p>The gross misdemeanor counts cite Minnesota\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/169A.20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DWI statute<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/169A.25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">aggravating-factor law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Each gross misdemeanor carries a possible 364-day jail term. Each also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>The other counts involve Minnesota\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/169.797\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vehicle insurance law<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/169A.35\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">open bottle law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They also cite laws covering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/171.24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">driving after revocation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/97B.045\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">firearm transport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The misdemeanor counts each carry up to 90 days in jail. They also carry possible fines of up to $1,000.<\/p>\n<p>The charges are accusations and have not been proven in court.
