Prosecutors allege Vold later traded the truck at Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls.

Court records list two counts of receiving stolen property. They also list theft, theft by swindle, and aggravated forgery.

The charges remain allegations. Vold is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Truck Reported Missing

The complaint says the truck owner allowed Vold to borrow the Raptor on April 24. The owner reported it missing the next morning.

Investigators learned the vehicle title had been placed in Vold’s name. The owner told police he never sold the truck.

The owner later sent Vold a certified letter demanding the vehicle’s return. A recorded call also captured repeated requests for the truck.

The complaint says Vold did not claim ownership during that conversation. She allegedly said she would later arrange its return.

Police later saw Vold driving the Raptor around Fergus Falls. The truck was also seen near her home during May.

Investigators Trace Vehicle Trade

A silver 2022 Ford F-150 later appeared at the property. Investigators learned Nelson Auto Center held the Raptor for resale.

Records showed the Raptor carried a reported purchase price of $10,000. Prosecutors say its estimated value exceeded $48,000.

Jennifer Marie Vold

Investigators also compared signatures on title documents. The complaint alleges the truck owner’s signature had been forged.

Nelson Auto employees said Vold traded the Raptor for the newer Ford truck. The dealership also issued her a $10,000 check.

The dealership valued the Raptor at about $42,000. Employees said Vold mentioned needing cash to help bail someone from jail.

Court officials later confirmed Michael Johnson posted bail on May 29. The complaint says $7,500 was used toward that bail.

Arrest and Evidence Seizure

Police arrested Vold at Nelson Auto on June 16. Officers also recovered the newer Ford truck.

A search of Vold’s residence found the newer truck’s title. Police also found the Raptor’s license plate and an extra key.

The complaint says Johnson later called the original truck owner. The owner reported receiving threats linked to the criminal case.

Five Felony Charges Filed

The complaint cites Minnesota laws covering receiving stolen property and theft.

It also cites the state law covering aggravated forgery.

The complaint lists maximum penalties ranging from five to 20 years.
