Moorhead Woman Charged in Infant Abuse Case<\/h2>\n

MOORHEAD, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Moorhead woman faces four felony charges involving the alleged abuse of two infant girls.<\/p>\n

Kimberly Faith Christy, 37, is charged in Clay County District Court<\/a>. She faces two first-degree criminal sexual conduct counts. She also faces two counts involving a minor in a sexual performance.<\/p>\n

Charges Follow Email to Prosecutors<\/h2>\n

Charging documents say the Clay County Attorney\u2019s Office received an email on June 28. Investigators believed the email came from Christy.<\/p>\n

The sender offered to surrender and included a QR code. The code reportedly opened a Google Photos account.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the account contained four videos and two images. The files allegedly showed sexual abuse involving two very young children.<\/p>\n

The alleged recordings were created during separate periods, according to court documents. Two videos were dated November 2013. Two others were dated March 2018.<\/p>\n

The documents also described images dated October 2019. Authorities said the files involved children younger than three years old.<\/p>\n

Statement to Investigators<\/h2>\n

Court documents say Christy later spoke with investigators. Authorities said she admitted committing the acts shown in the recordings.<\/p>\n

The case remains pending in Clay County District Court. Public court information is available through the Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Possible Penalties<\/h2>\n

A conviction for first-degree criminal sexual conduct may carry severe penalties. Minnesota law<\/a> allows up to 30 years in prison.<\/p>\n
