Fargo Birthday Party Gun Threat Leads to Arrest<\/h2>\n

FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A West Fargo woman faces two felony charges after an alleged gun threat at a child\u2019s birthday party.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the Arbors apartment complex around 9 p.m. on June 30. The reported disturbance involved a firearm.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said Latoya Hughes displayed a handgun during an argument. They said she threatened several people attending the party.<\/p>\n

Those nearby included a mother holding her 2-week-old baby. Children were also present during the dispute.<\/p>\n

One witness said Hughes shouted that everyone could die during the confrontation.<\/p>\n

Security Video Described in Court Documents<\/h2>\n

Court documents describe security video from the apartment complex. The footage reportedly showed a woman matching Hughes\u2019 description leaving a black Chevrolet Tahoe.<\/p>\n

The woman appeared to hold a handgun, according to the documents. She allegedly pulled the slide back before walking toward the group.<\/p>\n

A 15-year-old boy later returned to the apartment complex, according to court documents. Police detained him while continuing their investigation.<\/p>\n

Officers reported finding a Glock 48 handgun inside a bag he carried. The firearm contained 10 rounds, according to the documents.<\/p>\n

The teenager was taken to the Clay County Juvenile Detention Center. Police seized the handgun as evidence in the case.<\/p>\n
