Frazee Man Charged After Rollover Injures Passenger<\/h2>\n

FRAZEE, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Frazee man faces charges after a rollover crash seriously injured his passenger.<\/p>\n

Spencer David Dylan Jacobs, 28, is charged with felony criminal vehicular operation involving great bodily harm.<\/p>\n

He also faces a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from a May 3, 2026, crash in Otter Tail County.<\/p>\n

Court records identify the case as 56-CR-26-1003.<\/p>\n

Damaged Car Found on Rural Road<\/h2>\n

Deputies responded around 7:41 p.m. to East Wymer Lake Road near Good Oak Loop.<\/p>\n

A red Mercury Grand Marquis was found damaged after an apparent rollover.<\/p>\n

The windows were broken, and the windshield was cracked.<\/p>\n

The roof also had a large dent.<\/p>\n

Tire marks suggested the vehicle had been fishtailing before leaving the road.<\/p>\n

No one was inside the car when deputies arrived.<\/p>\n

Several open alcoholic beverage cans were found nearby, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Driver Initially Denied Involvement<\/h2>\n

Investigators later went to a nearby home connected to the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Jacobs first denied driving the car, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

He reportedly suggested someone had stolen it.<\/p>\n

A woman at the home later identified Jacobs as the driver.<\/p>\n

She said Jacobs had called her after the crash.<\/p>\n

Jacobs then changed his account, according to court records.<\/p>\n

He admitted driving with his brother, identified in the complaint as C.J.<\/p>\n

Jacobs said they were drifting and driving aggressively on dirt roads.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled.<\/p>\n

Passenger Suffered Spinal Fracture<\/h2>\n

C.J. was taken to Perham Health after the crash.<\/p>\n

Investigators later learned he had suffered a C7 spinal fracture.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test showed a 0.16 alcohol concentration, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Jacobs was arrested and taken to Perham Health for a blood draw.<\/p>\n

A judge approved a search warrant for the blood sample.<\/p>\n

The sample was collected at 11:31 p.m.<\/p>\n

Jacobs was then booked into the Otter Tail County Detention Facility.<\/p>\n

Possible Penalties<\/h2>\n

The felony charge carries up to three years in prison.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The reckless driving charge carries up to 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n
