Moorhead Man Charged After Circle K Crash<\/h2>\n

Moorhead<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Moorhead man faces two traffic charges after an alleged parking lot crash at a Circle K.<\/p>\n

Raymond Lee Allord, 71, is charged in Clay County District Court. The complaint lists one gross misdemeanor and one misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

The case stems from an incident reported on May 29, 2025. It happened at the Circle K on 11th Street North in Moorhead.<\/p>\n

Complaint Describes Parking Lot Collision<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, Allord was trying to park when his vehicle struck another vehicle. The impact allegedly damaged the driver-side mirror and front fender.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Allord then backed away and left the parking lot. He allegedly did not exchange information with the other driver.<\/p>\n

A worker at the property reportedly saw the crash. That witness later told the owner of the damaged vehicle.<\/p>\n

License Was Canceled, Filing Says<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors also allege Allord drove while his license was canceled as inimical to public safety.<\/p>\n

That term applies when officials consider someone\u2019s driving a risk to public safety.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Allord knew, or should have known, about the cancellation.<\/p>\n

The driving charge is a gross misdemeanor under Minnesota Statute 171.24<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail. It also lists a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Second Charge Involves Leaving the Scene<\/h2>\n

Allord also faces a misdemeanor charge involving a collision with an unattended vehicle.<\/p>\n

Drivers must stop and investigate after a collision. They must notify the owner, contact the police, or leave identifying information.<\/p>\n

Those duties are outlined in Minnesota Statute 169.09<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. It also lists a possible $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The case is filed as 14-CR-26-1584. Public information may be searched through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint contains allegations. Allord is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
