Frazee Man Sentenced in Felony DWI Case<\/h2>\n

FRAZEE<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Jesse Caleb Bailey, 35, has been sentenced for felony DWI test refusal.<\/p>\n

The sentence was issued in Becker County District Court.<\/p>\n

Two other DWI charges were dismissed under a plea agreement.<\/p>\n

Bailey received a 36-month state prison sentence.<\/p>\n

The court stayed that sentence for five years.<\/p>\n

He must follow probation and treatment conditions during that period.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Led to Arrest<\/h2>\n

Court records state the case began on December 14, 2024.<\/p>\n

Bailey was stopped in Detroit Lakes for allegedly driving with expired registration tabs.<\/p>\n

His vehicle made a rolling stop in the Central Market parking lot.<\/p>\n

Bailey was arrested for driving with a canceled license.<\/p>\n

He admitted to using fentanyl several hours earlier, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Bailey then refused to provide blood or urine samples for testing.<\/p>\n

Bailey was transported to the Becker County Jail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During transport, he also admitted smoking methamphetamine, court records state.<\/p>\n

The records list three earlier DWI convictions.<\/p>\n

Those prior cases supported the felony-level DWI charge.<\/p>\n

Jail Time and Financial Penalties<\/h2>\n

A Becker County judge sentenced Bailey on May 12.<\/p>\n

He was ordered to serve 60 days in jail.<\/p>\n

Bailey received credit for all 60 days already served.<\/p>\n

The court imposed a $500 fine.<\/p>\n

Bailey must also pay $190 in court fees.<\/p>\n

Bailey must complete a victim impact panel within four months.<\/p>\n

He must also complete the Otter Tail County DWI Court<\/a> program.<\/p>\n

The specialty court includes treatment, frequent hearings, testing, and close supervision.<\/p>\n

Bailey must follow all program rules.<\/p>\n

He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 DWI Court program fee.<\/p>\n
