Fargo Man Charged in Armed Apartment Robbery<\/h2>\n

FARGO<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Fargo man faces a felony charge after an alleged armed apartment robbery.<\/p>\n

Rodney Edward Anderson, 59, was arrested June 24 and charged with felony robbery.<\/p>\n

The charge follows a June 23 incident at the Arbors apartment complex.<\/p>\n

Police Respond to Burglary Report<\/h2>\n

Fargo police responded around 3:24 p.m. after receiving a burglary-in-progress report.<\/p>\n

Investigators later learned the resident had reported a robbery earlier that morning.<\/p>\n

The resident had allowed four friends to stay there while he attended an appointment.<\/p>\n

At about 10:54 a.m., a masked man dressed in black allegedly entered the apartment.<\/p>\n

The resident said the man pointed a black pistol and demanded his sister\u2019s bicycle.<\/p>\n

The suspect then left with the resident\u2019s television, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Surveillance Video Cited<\/h2>\n

Surveillance video reportedly captured a Ford F-150 arriving near the apartment complex.<\/p>\n

The vehicle dropped off three people, according to the charging documents.<\/p>\n

The video then showed the group walking toward the apartment building.<\/p>\n

One person appeared to force entry while a male voice could be heard yelling.<\/p>\n

Investigators identified Anderson through the surveillance footage, court records state.<\/p>\n

They also saw him at a search location later that day.<\/p>\n

He wore clothing similar to the clothing shown during the robbery.<\/p>\n

Officers also compared his shoes with footage from an earlier police contact.<\/p>\n

Arrest Made the Following Day<\/h2>\n

Police found Anderson at the New Life Center on June 24.<\/p>\n

He was arrested at about 6:18 p.m., according to the charging summary.<\/p>\n

Anderson was again wearing clothing similar to the surveillance footage.<\/p>\n

When told about the robbery charge, Anderson denied taking anything from the resident.<\/p>\n

The statement was included in court documents.<\/p>\n

Stolen Property Remains Missing<\/h2>\n

The television had not been recovered when the charging summary was filed.<\/p>\n

Court records also list an electric scooter among the property taken.<\/p>\n

The scooter had not been recovered either.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not announced arrests involving the other people shown in the footage.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not said whether the reported firearm has been recovered.<\/p>\n

The charge is an allegation and does not prove guilt.<\/p>\n
