Fargo Murder Case: Arrest Made in Minneapolis<\/h2>\n

FARGO<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly downtown shooting.<\/p>\n

Jayvon Allen was arrested on Wednesday in Minneapolis, according to the Fargo Police Department.<\/p>\n

The case involves the August 2025 shooting death of Azeem Holmes in downtown Fargo.<\/p>\n

Police said Allen has no permanent address.<\/p>\n

Task Force Makes Minneapolis Arrest<\/h2>\n

The U.S. Marshals Service North Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Allen at about 12:30 p.m. on June 24.<\/p>\n

Fargo police announced the arrest later that day.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released full details about Allen\u2019s alleged role in Holmes\u2019 death.<\/p>\n

Police plan to provide more information during a news conference.<\/p>\n

The conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, June 25.<\/p>\n

It will be held at Gateway Commons inside the Fargo Police Department headquarters.<\/p>\n

Azeem Holmes was killed during a downtown Fargo shooting on August 3, 2025.<\/p>\n

Court testimony has linked the case to an escalating conflict between two Fargo groups.<\/p>\n

Investigators identified the groups as associates of the United Blood and Black Disciple Nations.<\/p>\n

Those claims were discussed during court testimony earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Allen was also named during a January court hearing about the reported conflict.<\/p>\n

Detectives described a growing rivalry between the two groups during that hearing.<\/p>\n

Police Cite Possible Retaliation<\/h2>\n

Another Fargo homicide case was discussed during the same January hearing.<\/p>\n

C\u2019Aundre Douglas was accused of the shooting death of 20-year-old Elijah Hughes.<\/p>\n

Hughes was killed in South Fargo, according to police.<\/p>\n

Investigators said that the shooting may have been retaliation for Holmes\u2019 death.<\/p>\n

The allegations involving Allen and Douglas have not been proven in court.<\/p>\n

Both men are presumed innocent unless convicted through the court process.<\/p>\n
