Two people were killed in a crash involving a semi and a car in Mountrail County.
\nThe North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened Monday, December 15, 2025.
\nThe time was about 7:55 a.m. Central.
\nThe location was Highway 1804 at mile marker 274.
\nIt was about five miles east of the Williams County line.<\/p>\n

What Happened<\/h3>\n

Troopers say a 2007 Western Star semi was traveling westbound on Highway 1804.
\nThe semi was driven by Shawn Sexton, 48, of Watford City.
\nAuthorities say a 2015 Chrysler 200 crossed into the westbound lane.
\nTroopers say the Chrysler started to slide on icy roads.
\nThe semi then struck the driver\u2019s side of the Chrysler.
\nThe Highway Patrol describes the crash as a T-bone collision.<\/p>\n

Victims Identified<\/h3>\n

The driver of the Chrysler was identified as Gabriel Santiago, 21, of Bismarck.
\nHe suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
\nA passenger was identified as Lazaro Bautista, 44, of Burnsville, Minnesota.
\nHe also suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Highway Patrol says seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
\nSexton was not injured, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Scene Response<\/h3>\n

Agencies assisting at the scene included the\u00a0North Dakota Highway Patrol<\/a>,
\nthe Mountrail County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the Tioga Fire Department, and Tioga Ambulance.
\nOfficials reported icy road conditions at the time.
\nWeather conditions were described as dry.<\/p>\n
