Otter Tail County Man Faces Two DWI Charges<\/h2>\n

OTTER TAIL COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 An Otter Tail County court complaint charges Brenden Joseph Hannan with two gross misdemeanor DWI counts.<\/p>\n

The charges follow a traffic stop early Sunday, June 7, 2026.<\/p>\n

Two DWI Charges Filed<\/h2>\n

The complaint was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Seventh Judicial District Court. It lists court file number 56-CR-26-1306.<\/p>\n

Hannan is charged with third-degree driving while impaired. He also faces a charge involving an alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.<\/p>\n

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail. Each also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a 911 caller reported two intoxicated men leaving Beach Bum\u2019s bar in a red sedan.<\/p>\n

A deputy later saw a red sedan driving aggressively through the bar\u2019s parking lot. The deputy then observed more driving that suggested possible impairment.<\/p>\n

The traffic stop began at about 2:07 a.m., according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Breath Tests Reported<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Hannan had watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. It also says an alcohol odor came from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Hannan reportedly told the deputy he drank one beer about an hour earlier.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Hannan completed field sobriety testing. The complaint says the testing showed further signs of impairment.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test reportedly measured Hannan\u2019s alcohol concentration at 0.145.<\/p>\n

He was then arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a later DataMaster test measured an alcohol concentration of 0.16. That test was completed at about 3:16 a.m.<\/p>\n

Case Remains Pending<\/h2>\n

Minnesota law<\/a> bars driving while impaired by alcohol. State law also bans driving with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher.<\/p>\n

The complaint says one aggravating factor supported the third-degree DWI charges. It does not detail that factor in the provided statement.<\/p>\n

The charges are accusations and do not prove guilt. Hannan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
