Perham Home Break-In: Jonathan Allard Charged<\/h2>\n

Perham<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Jonathan Lee Allard, 44, faces felony burglary and misdemeanor trespass charges after an alleged home entry.<\/p>\n

Allard, of Mandan, North Dakota, entered the Otter Tail County Jail on June 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

The county custody roster<\/a> lists booking number 002600000530.<\/p>\n

Both charges were marked active when the roster was reviewed.<\/p>\n

Reported Perham Home Entry<\/h2>\n

A Perham homeowner reported that someone entered his residence on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

According to a local news report<\/a>, the homeowner was watching soccer when the front door opened suddenly.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Allard entered the home and grabbed the homeowner’s shoulder.<\/p>\n

The homeowner reportedly pushed him away and repeatedly told him to leave.<\/p>\n

Allard allegedly continued moving farther into the living room.<\/p>\n

The homeowner later forced him outside, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Police found Allard walking away from the area and took him into custody.<\/p>\n

Burglary and Trespass Charges<\/h2>\n

The felony count alleges first-degree burglary involving an assault inside a building or on nearby property.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Statute 609.582<\/a>, subdivision 1(c), covers that form of first-degree burglary.<\/p>\n

The law applies when an alleged burglar assaults someone inside a building or on nearby property.<\/p>\n

The second charge is misdemeanor trespass under Minnesota Statute 609.605, subdivision 1(b)(4).<\/p>\n

That provision addresses entering or occupying another person’s dwelling without permission or a legal claim.<\/p>\n

The full trespass law appears on the Minnesota Revisor of Statutes website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The public jail roster does not list a bond amount with these charges.<\/p>\n
