Washington Lake Township (trfnews.i234.me)<\/strong> \u2013 A crash occurred on December 12, 2025, at 2:26 PM, on Highway 5 near Mile Marker 17 in Washington Lake Township, Sibley County. A 2021 Buick Enclave, driven by 49-year-old Nathan Bentley Stevermer of Sleepy Eye, MN, collided with a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 33-year-old Katelyn Ann Bjorklund of Arlington, MN, while both vehicles were traveling on Highway 5, one eastbound and one westbound.<\/p>\n

The crash caused significant damage to both vehicles, and several individuals were transported for medical treatment. Bjorklund, the driver of the Jeep, and her passengers, 0-year-old Collette Evelyn Bjorklund and 31-year-old Elizabeth Anna McGarvey, all sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Arlington RMC for treatment.<\/p>\n

Stevermer, the driver of the Buick, and his passengers, 10-year-old Henry John Stevemer and 50-year-old Nicole Marie Stevemer, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Waconia Hospital.<\/p>\n

The road conditions at the time were snow-covered and icy, which contributed to the collision. Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Green Isle Fire, Hamburg Fire, and Ridgeview\/Arlington\/Gaylord Ambulances responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
