Maple Lake (trfnews.i234.me)<\/strong> \u2013 On December 11, 2025, at 6:24 AM, a collision occurred at the intersection of MN Hwy 55 and Spruce Ave in Maple Lake, Wright County. A 2016 Jeep Compass, driven by 47-year-old Maaret Kaatsep Petaisto of Buffalo, MN, was traveling westbound on Highway 55 when it collided with a 2014 Ford Edge, driven by 40-year-old Ryan Donald Lommel of Litchfield, MN. Lommel was northbound onto Spruce Ave when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.<\/p>\n

Petaisto, the driver of the Jeep, was wearing her seat belt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Buffalo Hospital for treatment. Lommel, the driver of the Ford Edge, was also wearing his seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.<\/p>\n

The road conditions at the time were snow-covered and icy, which contributed to the crash. Wright County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Maple Lake Fire Department, and Maple Lake Ambulance responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
