Balkan Township (trfnews.i234.me)<\/strong> \u2013 On December 11, 2025, at 5:50 AM, a 2021 Ram 1500 Pick-up Truck, driven by 22-year-old Xavier Payton Dial of Effie, MN, drifted across the northbound lanes of Highway 73 near Milepost 98 in Balkan Township, St. Louis County. The truck left the roadway and struck a tree in the ditch.<\/p>\n

Dial, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Chisholm EMS ground ambulance to Fairview Range Medical Center for treatment.<\/p>\n

The road conditions at the time were snow-covered and icy, which likely contributed to the loss of control. St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Chisholm EMS responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
