Jeremy Ron Siltman, 44, of Pine River, is charged in Cass County District Court with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. He is also charged with two counts of threats of violence.<\/p>\n
The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s 9th Judicial District under court file number 11-CR-26-743. Court records can be searched through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened on May 28, 2026, at about 9:56 p.m. Deputies were called to a home on Division Street West in Pine River.<\/p>\n Dispatch reported that a man had a knife and was threatening people. The reporting parties had left the home and later met law enforcement in Backus.<\/p>\n The complaint says LLR had driven DMM to the address to pick up a four-wheeler. When they arrived, Siltman allegedly came out of a shed.<\/p>\n LLR told investigators Siltman walked toward them with one hand behind his back. Siltman then allegedly grabbed LLR by the throat.<\/p>\n The complaint says Siltman revealed a knife and told LLR he would kill him. LLR said he feared he would be stabbed.<\/p>\n LLR told investigators he broke free from Siltman\u2019s grasp. The complaint says Siltman then stepped back and dropped the knife.<\/p>\n LLR described that knife as being at least 12 inches long.<\/p>\n The complaint says Siltman later appeared to calm down. He allegedly allowed LLR and DMM to continue getting the four-wheeler.<\/p>\n Investigators allege Siltman then became upset again. The complaint says he got another knife from his truck.<\/p>\n LLR described the second knife as about three or four inches long. He said Siltman again threatened to kill him.<\/p>\n DMM told investigators she heard a separate threat directed at her. She said Siltman made a statement about using a shovel to bury her.<\/p>\n A witness identified as Astin told investigators he saw Siltman with a knife. The complaint says the witness believed it was thrown near the back of the trailer house.<\/p>\n Second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.222<\/a>. The charge carries up to seven years in prison, a $14,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n Threats of violence is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.713<\/a>.
