Bemidji Man Charged In Stolen Gun Case<\/h2>\n

Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Bemidji man is facing multiple charges after a stolen handgun was allegedly found on him.<\/p>\n

Isaiah Andrew Bimberg, 29, of Bemidji, is charged in Beltrami County District Court.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s 9th Judicial District under court file 04-CR-26-1294.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint, the case began on June 2, 2026.<\/p>\n

Bemidji police received a report about a stolen firearm at about 7:07 p.m.<\/p>\n

The victim told officers Bimberg had visited his home earlier that day.<\/p>\n

The victim alleged Bimberg took a 9mm Taurus G3 semi-automatic pistol.<\/p>\n

Charges Filed In Beltrami County<\/h2>\n

Bimberg is charged with felony theft of a firearm.<\/p>\n

That charge carries a possible sentence of 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $100,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

The complaint also charges Bimberg with unlawful firearm or ammunition possession.<\/p>\n

That charge is listed as a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with fleeing a peace officer on foot.<\/p>\n

Complaint Details Arrest<\/h2>\n

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Bimberg\u2019s residence and person.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the victim showed officers text messages involving Bimberg.<\/p>\n

Those messages allegedly indicated Bimberg had the firearm.<\/p>\n

On June 3, officers saw a man matching Bimberg\u2019s description.<\/p>\n

He was leaving a residence connected to him, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

When officers tried to stop him, Bimberg allegedly fled on foot.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he later surrendered to several officers in the area.<\/p>\n

After he was secured, officers allegedly found the stolen handgun on him.<\/p>\n

The firearm was loaded with a full magazine.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a live round was also in the chamber.<\/p>\n

Those include DWI, giving a false name, burglary, and drug convictions.<\/p>\n
