Warroad Man Charged In Bat Threat Case<\/h2>\n

Warroad<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Warroad man is facing one felony charge and two misdemeanor charges after an alleged baseball bat threat at a home.<\/p>\n

Christopher Lee Larsen, 29, of Warroad, is charged in Roseau County District Court. The case is filed under court file number 68-CR-26-298.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from an incident reported on May 23, 2026, in Warroad. Court documents say police were called to a home on Hallberg Street Southwest.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a male was outside a trailer with a baseball bat. The caller reported the suspect was Larsen.<\/p>\n

Charges Filed In Roseau County<\/h2>\n

Larsen is charged with felony threats of violence<\/a>. That charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with fleeing a peace officer by means other than a motor vehicle. That charge is a misdemeanor under Minnesota law<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A third charge alleges fourth-degree criminal damage to property. That charge is also a misdemeanor under Minnesota statute<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Complaint Details Alleged Threats<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, Larsen had been texting Anderson about a mutual female friend.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges Larsen later arrived at Anderson\u2019s home. He allegedly struck the siding of the home and called for Anderson to come outside.<\/p>\n

Authorities said security video showed Larsen standing outside the home. The complaint says he was wearing a red sweatshirt and holding a baseball bat.<\/p>\n

Anderson also showed police photos and messages allegedly sent by Larsen. One message allegedly indicated Larsen would burn the house down.<\/p>\n

Another message allegedly said Larsen would return that night and kill Anderson over the woman, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Search Led To Wooded Area<\/h2>\n

Law enforcement searched for Larsen after he left the area. His residence was checked, but he was not found there.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a deputy later saw a person walking on County Road 5. The person wore a dark sweatshirt, a ski mask, and blue gloves.<\/p>\n

When contact was attempted, the person allegedly ran through the yards to avoid officers.<\/p>\n

Larsen was later found in a wooded area, according to court documents. He allegedly admitted to being at Anderson\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Larsen told officers he had the bat for protection.<\/p>\n

Authorities said they found a black ski mask, two blue rubber gloves, and a wooden baseball bat nearby.<\/p>\n

The allegations are contained in a criminal complaint. Larsen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
